Evening Echo - Senior council officials visit fast-growing contact centre business
- Since starting up in recession, Southend based Ventrica has created 80 jobs and plans to double its growth over the next 18 months.
Southend, UK, 24th September 2013 – Leader of Southend Borough Council, Cllr Nigel Holdcroft and Council Chief Executive Rob Tinlin visited Southend-based contact centre business, Ventrica last week and praised it for its entrepreneurial ambition and rapid growth. Since the business was founded during the height of the recession it has created 80 jobs in the city and plans to double its growth over the next 18 months.
Rob Tinlin, Chief Executive of Southend-on-Sea Borough Council who visited the contact centre based on Tylers Avenue on Friday, said, “Southend is a city renowned for business innovation and enterprise and Ventrica is a superb example of a successful young company punching above its weight in a global market. Ventricas commitment to customer and product quality and its ambition are creating a new centre of excellence in Southend, creating new jobs and utilising some of the citys core skills. Southend Council is keen to support business enterprises such as Ventrica and is confident that it will rapidly become an important part of the city’s cluster of world beating companies.”
Ventrica Founder and Managing Director Dino Forte commented, ‘We’ve come a long way in the last three years, especially when you consider that the business was founded during the recession. We are essentially a people business, and a large part of this success can be attributed to the high quality of customer and sales service skills that can be found in the area. We have created 80 new jobs so far and are currently in the process of installing new technology for additional staff within our contact centre. In turn this will help us to support our plans to double the size of the business over the next 18 months. We are looking forward to forging closer links with the council to help support our continued development.’
