Global CX specialist Ventrica is delighted to announce that it will continue to be a Real Living Wage employer.
The Real Living Wage increased to £12 an hour across the UK and £13.15 in London in the past year.
It is an independently calculated hourly rate of pay that is based on the actual cost of living. It is calculated each year and is announced by the Living Wage Foundation as part of Living Wage Week.
This will have a positive effect on the wages of almost half a million employees across the country.
Ventrica CEO Iain Banks commented,
Continuous investment in our people is at the very heart of Ventrica’s values. Our people are true ambassadors for their brands and providers of unrivaled emotive customer experience. Our investment in them is worth every penny.
Retaining top talent and building our Employee Value Proposition remains at the heart of our growth and operational excellence strategies at Ventrica, and our ongoing commitment to the Real Living Wage is something I am tremendously proud of.”
The Real Living Wage is the only rate calculated according to the costs of living. It provides a voluntary benchmark for employers that wish to ensure their staff earns a wage they can live on, not just the government minimum.
The Living Wage movement has put more than £2 billion extra into the pockets of over 450,000 low-paid workers since it began in 2011.
